Each Branch will designate an Assembly Point-Near and Assembly Point-Far. Assembly Point-Near. Branches must designate a rally point at least 200 feet from the branch where employees should gather if the branch is inaccessible. This location must be made known to all employees. The location would be the “gathering point” for all employees to check in after an evacuation so that managers can account for all of them. Assembly Point-Far: Branches must designate a secondary rally point, further away from the Branch, where employees will gather if the area surrounding the branch is inaccessible. This would be the location to check in with managers if the Near Assembly Point is inaccessible.

Managers should account for each of their employees. An employee list and responsibilities are provided on the Employee Grid in the Appendix.

Employees evacuate building and proceed to safe area. Employees should evacuate the building and proceed to a safe area. Employees should report to their managers at the Assembly Point. The Near Assembly Point will always be used as the gathering point unless it is inaccessible. Contact civil authorities as necessary. Use the numbers in the Emergency Contact Number list to call the police, the Fire, department Medical Personnel, or others necessary for your branch in an emergency situation. Give your name, the branch location, and the nature of emergency. See Emergency Contact Numbers list in the Appendix. Verify authority to begin shutdown. Use the Unit Shutdown Authorization list in the Appendix, to contact those in authority to close the unit. Determine the time of closing and the release time of employees. Contact Disaster Recovery Coordinator. Contact the Disaster Recovery Coordinator and inform him or her of the situation. The Disaster Recovery Coordinator will then contact the other teams involved in recovery to alert them of the situation.
