Expense Authorization

The President and Executive Vice Presidents are authorized to approve disaster recovery expenses.

Initiation Procedures 1. The System Administrator visits the disaster site. 2. The System Administrator assesses the damage. 3. The System Administrator informs the President and Executive Vice Presidents of the disaster’s scope. 4. The President and Executive Vice President declare a disaster, if appropriate. 5. The System Administrator uses the DRP Contact List to notify the appropriate personnel in order to begin the recovery process.

First Stage Recovery Procedure IT Personnel Meeting Place

In the event of a disaster at one of the remote branches, the network administrator and DRP recipients will meet in the upstairs conference room at the Main Branch. In the event the disaster occurs at the Main Branch, the meeting place will be at the office of Intelligent, Inc., at 609 Main Street.

Informing the Public

The System Administrator will update the external Bank Web site with relevant disaster information

Notification Procedure for Application Owners

1. Application owners will be notified by telephone. 2. The System Administrator will notify vendors of the disaster to begin the recovery process.

3. The System Administrator will begin to repair any hardware issues. 4. The System Administrator will then begin application restoration.

( NOTE: For this example, the next page would have contained a list of contacts by branch as well as contact information for each vendor. However, there was no contact list for police, utilities, etc., for each location. This information has been removed from this example but is reflected on the Table of Contents at the front of this document.)
