24.1.4.3 Creating Privacy Zones A Privacy Zone is an area within your Ring device camera's field-of-view that you can define as off-limits. The Ring App will not display anything in that area in Live View or record anything in the privacy zone (if you have a Ring Protect plan).  You can set up to two rectangular-shaped Privacy Zones.  Each zone can be compared to a small piece of tape over the doorbell or security camera lens.  The recorded video in these Privacy Zones is blocked out and cannot be recovered.  A privacy zone only prevents recording in that space. It will not prevent the triggering of motion detection. 24.1.4.4 Disabling Audio/Video Recording You can disable audio recording and/or video recording (if you have a Ring Protect plan) in the Ring App. Additional Ring Account Security Ring take digital security and privacy seriously and continue to evaluate other ways to provide you even more control and transp arency over a user’s Ring account and personal information. 24.2.1 Opting In And Out Of Amazon Sidewalk Amazon Sidewalk is a shared network that helps Ring devices stay online by allowing them to work during internet outages. 592 You can opt in or out of Amazon Sidewalk at any time.

How do I opt-out of Amazon Sidewalk? To opt-out of Amazon Sidewalk, follow these instructions :  Open your Ring app 

Tap the three-lines in the upper left-hand corner of the screen  Tap Control Center  Tap Sidewalk  Tap the Sidewalk slider button  You will see a screen asking you to confirm that you want to disable Sidewalk o Confirm that you wish to disable Sidewalk.

Repeat the above procedure to opt back into Amazon Sidewalk.

Unlinking A Ring Account From An Amazon Account On The App Open the Ring App on your mobile device app 1. Tap the three-lines ( ≡ ) on the top left. 2. Tap Account Settings from the side menu. 3. Tap Amazon under Linked Accounts .

4. Before you unlink your accounts, you will need to verify your Ring account by entering the password. 5. Tap Unlink Accounts . 6.
