Brett Manning, CFA SVP & Director, Funding Products Group FHLB Des Moines

Brett Manning currently serves as Senior Vice President/ Director, Funding Products Group at Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines. Brett’s mastery of balance sheet management and optimization strategies is the direct result of 20 years’ experience working with every type of FHLBank member, from depository institutions to insurance companies. He has worked at virtually every level of these diverse businesses, from tracking and maximizing specific collateral positions, to using mortgage originations to dramatically boost balance sheet growth, to identifying and mitigating enterprise-level interest-rate risk. Brett earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration, majoring in Finance, minoring in Economics, from Western Washington University. Brett also earned the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and is an honors graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School and the civic leadership program at Leadership Tomorrow Seattle.
