John P. Biestman, CFA Vice President and Senior Relationship Manager Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines John joined the Federal Home Loan Bank system in 2003, bringing with him decades of financial services experience through leadership positions at such organizations as Barclays Capital, First Interstate Bank and Dean Witter Reynolds/Morgan Stanley. As Senior Relationship Manager, John anchors relationships with the Bank’s members, shapes account and marketing strategies across the Bank and executes the Bank’s multi-state educational and trade association outreach program. Prior to attaining his current position at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines, John served in various capacities, including member advisory services and solutions, educational programming and relationship management. John has a B.A from University of California at Los Angeles, and a M.B.A. from the S.C. Johnson School of Management at Cornell University. John is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and has taught graduate-level finance and investment courses at several West Coast universities.
