Inventory/Fixed Assets. The Disaster Recovery Coordinator will help restore your Inventory, Fixed Assets, and Supplies. This will include:
• Establishing Phone Connectivity • Ordering Office Supplies • Coordinating with the System Administrator to fix, reconnect or replace computer hardware and software. • Replace any furniture or facility requirements such as modems, fax machines, copiers, furniture, teller machines, etc.
Notify your cash supplier of your new permanent location. Notify your cash supplier that you have changed your unit location so that he or she can update the records. Please refer to the Appendix.
Notify U.S Postal Service of your unit location.
Notify your vendors of your permanent location. Notify your vendors and suppliers about your situation and your Branch location. This should include people like the soda delivery man, supply company, water delivery, etc.
Confirm the Teller System is functioning correctly. Ensure that the necessary terminals, teller systems, etc., are functioning correctly.
Begin lost transaction recovery procedures. If your teller transactions/proof work was lost or destroyed or if your teller system was not in operation during the disaster, you will need to begin reconstructing the information. This will involve referring to film, reconstructing the checks via photocopy, and running through the system again.
Confirm your PCs are functioning correctly. Ensure that all PCs are functioning correctly and all critical LAN connections are completed. Contact the System Administrator if you have any problems.
Verify that restored PC files are correct. Ensure that the PC files for your department are restored correctly from your backups. This many mean retrieving backup files from your off-site location, or if no backups exist, reinstalling purchased software.
Meet with your personnel to evaluate your status. Review outstanding issues and/or unresolved problems.
Return to normal business hours. Work with the President/CEO to announce the reopening or permanent relocation of your Branch.
