Waterfall & Agile

Waterfall

Agile

• Agile is a methodology is iterative approach allowing project phases to be worked simultaneously based on the feedback from the client/stakeholder instead of delivering it all at once near the end. • Created to address the issue of deadlines which were missed, going over the budget or sometimes both these issues. Many organizations have succumbed to these issues. • Agile is a lot more flexible and accounts for experimenting with different directions. Rather than a fixed timeline and budget, the schedule adapts as the project progresses .

• Waterfall is a methodology that is a linear system of working that requires the team to complete each project phase before moving on to the next one. • Ideal for projects where the end result is clearly established from the beginning of the project. • Waterfall has a fixed timeline and budget. The idea is that the start and finish of the project are already mapped out from the beginning.
