Managing and Resolving Problem Loans 45 minutes Problem loan management and loan workouts are difficult, devour time, and create significant stress for those involved in mitigating losses. Understanding how to prevent problem loans in the first place and navigate them efficiently when they do occur are critical skills for loan reviewers and the entire risk management team within a financial institution. This course covers problem loan prevention, early identification of problems loans, and key issues for institutions to consider in establishing their approach to problem loan management. It also looks at workout options and action plans, legal considerations, and actions to avoid during loan workouts. 45 minutes An institution's loan portfolio usually is its largest asset, principal source of revenue, and greatest source of risk to safety and soundness. This course, aimed at loan officers, loan reviewers, credit analysts, credit administrators, and risk managers, covers the controls, strategies, and tactics institutions need to apply to manage loan portfolios and their associated risks.
