Tom Hayes bio

Tom Hayes – Managing Director, Investment Banking Tom is a Managing Director in Investment Banking for D.A. Davidson & Co. In this capacity, he specializes in structuring M&A transactions, evaluating strategic alternatives, and facilitating public and private offerings of equity and debt for depository institutions. He was ranked among the nation's most active M&A bankers in the financial services space in 2007, 2013, 2014 and 2016, according to SNL Financial. Tom was a recipient of the 2016 Emerging Leaders Award, given annually by the M&A Advisor. Prior to joining D.A. Davidson & Co. in 1999, Tom served as a financial analyst with D.A. Davidson & Co. through the firm's summer internship program. He was also an intern for Sen. Max Baucus. He currently serves on the Board of Holy Spirit Catholic School and is Chairman of the school’s endowment. He served on the Davidson Honors College Advisory Board and the School of Business Administration’s Accounting & Finance Advisory Board, both at the University of Montana. Tom resides in Great Falls, MT with his wife and four children. He graduated with high honors and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Finance and a minor in Economics, from the University of Montana.
