SARs Suspicious Transaction Reporting • A money transmission transaction requires reporting, if it involves or aggregates funds of at least $2,000. • Money transmitter knows, suspects, or has reason to suspect: o Involves funds derived from illegal activity. o Designed to evade o Serves no business or lawful purpose o Facilitates criminal activity • Must be filed within 30 days after the initial detection of the suspicious activity.
