APPENDIX Tab A – Recent Strategic Decisions

• July 2021: Two subject matter expert (SME) teams of seven state regulators were assembled to conduct five-year reviews of the Certified Capital Markets Examiner (CCME) and Certified Cyber Security Examiner (CCSE) credentials. The teams provided final reports to the Certification Committee for discussion at its July 20, 2021 meeting. The teams’ suggested changes were accepted by the Committee. The changes include a reduction of the continuing education requirement for the CCME from 63 to 40 over the three-year term of certification. • January 2022: The internal audit review team (IART) submitted its final Report of Independent Audit. A response to the Report is being developed by CSBS staff and will be presented to the Certification Committee for review at its April 2022 quarterly meeting. • March 2022: Certification Committee Member Nelson Cook retired from the Alabama State Banking Department and resigned his Committee assignment. Rosemarie Shaheen retired as the ECP’s director and will be succeeded by Julia Lang. Ms. Lang has been the ECP’s administrative support for three years and has served two years as program specialist in the CSBS Accreditation Program. She has completed the Institute of Credentialing Excellence (I.C.E.)’s Credentialing Specialist certificate course. Ms. Lang is a 2017 Columbia University graduate.
