The nonconformities may be identified during the internal audit function or throughout the intervening years. Once identified, the following actions should take place in a timely manner: • Evaluate the need for action to correct the nonconformity • Determine and implement the action needed • Record the results of the action(s) taken • Evaluate the effectiveness of correction action(s) taken D. Preventive actions The Certification Committee shall identify nonconformities in its processes and operations and take preventive actions to eliminate the causes of these nonconformities. Preventive actions taken shall be appropriate to the impact of the nonconformity. The nonconformities may be identified during an internal audit or throughout the intervening years.
