Alejandra Krasnow Director, SES Business Services Conference of State Bank Supervisors
Alejandra Krasnow joined the CSBS Business Services team in June 2019. In this role, Alejandra works on a range of federal and state supervision issues, developing policies and practices to advance the State Examination System (SES) as a collaborative and standardized regulatory supervisory platform. Alejandra has over a decade of financial services industry experience. Prior to joining CSBS, Alejandra handled regulatory compliance matters as a senior director at Ally Financial Inc., including overseeing the organization’s state examination program. Alejandra also served as a compliance director for the American Financial Services Association (AFSA). In this capacity, she regularly interacted with federal and state regulators on behalf of AFSA members, founded AFSA’s compliance program, and launched AFSA University, a training program widely used by AFSA members. Alejandra has extensive experience in the advocacy and government relations field, having served in AFSA’s state government affairs department. Alejandra is a licensed attorney in the state of New York; she received her law degree from the Bolivian Catholic University; her Master of Laws (LL.M.) with a specialization in International Business Law, from the American University Washington College Law. She currently serves as Co-Vice Chair of the Personal Property Financing Subcommittee of the American Bar Association’s Consumer Financial Services Committee, Business Section. Alejandra lives in the Northern Virginia area with her husband and their two daughters.
