Philosophy:  CSBS respects the privacy of its employees, members,  partners and those who use its systems. 

CSBS respects the privacy of anyone entrusting their  PII to it and is responsible for the protection of such.  CSBS informs individuals of information sharing and  enables them to control their information.  CSBS works diligently to secure information it  receives.

Basic  Principles:

Broad definition of PII

Inform individuals of information collected and how used; do not permit sale or  use of PII for testing, training, marketing or research Privacy by Design (privacy assessment; inventory from beginning) Processing of PII must be supported by defined/documented business purposes;  must have standards and governance for retention/integrity/accuracy Security and privacy go hand‐in‐hand to ensure information is protected
