Background The following slides are intended to help illustrate the landscape of large banks in the context of the state banking system. For purposes of this analysis large banks are defined as banks >$10bn in assets.
This analysis uses a data attribute provided by the FDIC known as “Asset Concentration Hierarchy” which describes the specialty of a bank where applicable.
