Data Center Walk-Through Data Centers should not have windows • Sunlight on servers introduces heat to the computer room • Windows provide access to confidential information

• Windows can be broken in severe storms, potentially allowing water and/or debris • If there MUST be windows, look something stronger than regular window glass

Data Center Walk-Through Must have at least battery backup power onsite

Water should be available from more than one source . • Using well as a contingency could be an option

• For large data center, battery duration must be sufficient to switch over to diesel generators • There should be diesel generators on site with 24 hours of fuel on site. (contract in place with supplier)
