60 Updates can fix problems as well as add new features which may not be compatible with previous versions • Think of programs that worked on Windows XP but that won’t work on Windows 7 or Windows 10 Patch vs. Update Patches usually fix problems while maintaining compatibility • All the applications that are running on a server or desktop now should still work just fine after the patch is applied
