Joshua Magri CEO and Founder Cyber Risk Ins Ɵ tute

Joshua Magri is the Founder and CEO of the Cyber Risk Ins Ɵ tute. The Cyber Risk Ins Ɵ tute’s mission is to advance cybersecurity by crea Ɵ ng (and upda Ɵ ng) a common framework for cyber security and resilience assessment: The Pro fi le. Previously, Josh served as Senior Vice President and Counsel for Regula Ɵ on and Developing Technologies at Bank Policy Ins Ɵ tute (BPI)/BITS, where he was the principal architect and co lead of the FSSCC Cybersecurity Pro fi le ini Ɵ a Ɵ ve. Addi Ɵ onally, in this role, he oversaw regulatory, advocacy, and policy e ff orts on issues related to cybersecurity, data security and privacy, fi nancial technology (“FinTech”), and developing technologies. Prior to joining BPI, Josh was the Associate Vice President at the Internet Security Alliance, a mul Ɵ -sector cybersecurity trade associa Ɵ on, where he co-authored the Na Ɵ onal Associa Ɵ on of Corporate Directors’ (NACD) “Cyber-Risk Oversight Handbook.” He also helped develop cybersecurity policy that was largely incorporated into Presiden Ɵ al Execu Ɵ ve Order 13636 – Improving Cri Ɵ cal Infrastructure Cybersecurity. Before moving to the Washington area, Josh was a prosecutor in the Bronx County District A Ʃ orney’s O ffi ce. Tenured in both the Appeals and Rackets Bureaus, he handled felony and misdemeanor inves Ɵ ga Ɵ ons, prosecu Ɵ ons, and appeals. Josh graduated Boston College with a B.A. in Economics and earned a J.D. from Boston College Law School. Following law school, he clerked for the Honorable Fernande Du ffl y at the Massachuse Ʃ s Appeals Court.
