SWOT Analysis
The following SWOT analysis is derived from the feedback provided by a cross-section of our employees that met at the May 22, 2020 meeting. The answers are not necessarily all-inclusive of the respondents’ answers. 1. Strengths a) Work ethic: We make ourselves available all the time. b) Customer service c) Agility: We are nimble and can make local decisions quickly.

Weaknesses a)
“Kinder, gentler” Mentality: We sometimes shy away from confrontation
or tough personnel conversations. b)
Communication: Interdepartmental communication can be stifled or
misinterpreted which can lead to friction among employees. c)
Right Seats on the Bus: Sometimes we fall short in putting our employees
in the right positions to succeed.

Opportunities a)
$1 Billion by 2025: We have the chance to be a large, dynamic institution
in a short period of time. b)
Market share: Expand market share in markets outside of Jackson County in order to better balance loans, deposits, and income generation across the footprint. As the potential for expansion is different by market, we should approach each market with its own expectation for growth and its own strategy. c) Efficiencies: Our new core could make us more efficient and therefore more profitable for our shareholders. Complacency: Our $1 Billion by 2025 initiative is predicated on strong loan and deposit growth. If we do not maintain an aggressive calling program, we will not realize this initiative. b) Succession planning: We have proactively addressed Bank succession but Board planning needs work; a lack of continuity and haphazard reconstitution of our Board could negatively affect leadership of the Bank. c) Asset Quality: Deviation from a strict adherence to sound asset quality could imperil the Bank.
