BSA Officer Interview Exercise
INTRODUCTION Students will be provided the group listing and interview schedule. The instructors will act as the BSA Officer and may provide different explanations or responses to the questions asked of them by the various students. Students should focus on their own interactions with the BSA Officer (instructor) when completing the Student Self-Evaluation [COPY ATTACHED]. Each student will be provided feedback from their BSA Officer (instructor) by the end of the school [COPY ATTACHED]. OBJECTIVES 1. Prepare to conduct effective interviews of the BSA Officer. 2. Identify techniques for BSA Officer meetings. 3. Apply concepts by interviewing and evaluating the BSA Officer. PREPARATION The students will be provided tips for conducting BSA Officer interviews during examinations, including techniques and exam experiences from the instructors. Students should use information from the case study and should ask questions that they have developed and raise concerns that they may have. Students should prepare questions to ask during the interview, prioritizing those areas of higher risk, based on the information provided, in case there is not enough time to cover all their questions. GUIDELINES FOR DISCUSSION • Each instructor will act as the BSA Officer. • Each group will have 30 minutes to meet with the BSA Officer, followed by a 15-minute break. • During the break following their meeting, students should finalize notes taken during the meeting. • Students will need to complete and submit the Student Self-Evaluation before the end of the day’s session, using the link below. • Students may hear different explanations/responses to the questions they ask the BSA Officer.
