Intersection of Cybersecurity, AI & Privacy

AI  AI is technology that enables computers and machines to simulate human intelligence and problem-solving capabilities .  On its own or combined with other technologies (e.g., sensors, geolocation, robotics) AI can perform tasks that would otherwise require human intelligence or intervention .  AI encompasses machine learning and deep learning, i nvolving algorithms, modeled after the decision-making processes of the human brain, that can “learn” from available data and make increasingly more accurate classifications or predictions over time .

Privacy  Data privacy concerns how entities handle the personal data they lawfully collect  It’s about the controls over the personal data, access to personal data, use of personal data, storage of personal data, and retention of personal data  In sum, it’s about authorized use and access to personal data!

Cybersecurity  The practice of ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of information and network systems.  Cybersecurity is comprised of an evolving set of tools, risk management approaches, technologies, training , and best practices.  All designed to protect networks, devices, programs, and data from attacks or unauthorized access .
