Multi-Tenant Co-Location Sites A popular approach to a data center site or a disaster recovery site is co-location (commonly referred to as a “co-lo”). A co-lo is, in general, a large data center facility in which you can rent a space to build your IT site. The facility provides space and necessary environmentals (power, UPS, generator, HVAC, security, etc.). You rent a space in the facility, typically a cage of a specified size and set up your equipment in it.
