VPN is a connection between two computers or networks designed to provide secure data transmissions especially over an untrusted network. • E.g., SSL/HTTPS or TLS 1.2 • Security mechanisms typically involve encrypting and/or tunneling data. • Consider using VPNs or similar protocols when transmitting sensitive information.
