Bio for Kevin Byers Kevin Byers joined CSBS in November 2018 as Senior Director for Nonbank Supervision and Enforcement. He is a Certified Public Accountant with over 25 years of experience in housing finance, litigation support and consulting. After pursuing a career in public accounting, Kevin managed the planning and financing of affordable housing development and counseling programs for numerous non-profit agencies, while simultaneously providing financial analysis, litigation support, and research on subprime residential lending, servicing and securitization. This experience led him to begin a forensic accounting practice in 2003. Kevin has consulted for various state attorneys general and regulatory agencies on mortgage- related and consumer financial services matters, and prior to joining CSBS served on the forensics team for the independent monitor of the National Mortgage Settlement. Kevin graduated from the College of William and Mary with a degree in Accounting and earned a master’s degree from the University of Virginia. He lives in Atlanta, Georgia with his wife and two sons.
