• IT Goals and Objectives should be: – Clear/apparent - what should be done

– Realistic - will it achieve the desired results

– Applicable - support the enterprise mission and meet the customers’ needs

– Quantifiable - are there available metrics to determine success/failure

– Timely - is the initiation of an IT solution timely or pushed out early to meet competition
